My Client a Global Manufacturer of packaging solutions who partner with some of the world’s leading Organisations across Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Cosmetics and Consumer Goods are looking to attract a Financial Controller for their operation in Co Louth. If you have been considering a career move, or are even curious as to the current market climate, this opportunity is well worth your while exploring. Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller for UK and Ireland and as a member of the Plant Management Team, the successful candidate will lead the finance function for the site supporting the plant to achieve their overall corporate financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Plant Management Team to ensure achievement of the overall plant objectives, including analysing data to initiate improvements and cost savings.
  • Build, develop and manage a high performing team capable of carrying out the Finance and Accounting functions and responsibilities, including performance management and succession planning. Establish clear goals and objectives within the Plant Finance functions.
  • Manage the Cost Accounting, Inventory and Assets, oversee the systems for current, accurate and complete accounting and reporting of job costs, overhead, inventory, controls and policies, and physical counts.
  • Manage the forecasting process including analysing trends and patterns, determine the impact and making recommendations for the Plant.
  • Responsibility for overseeing the Plant internal financial reporting and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies of the NA CPG and external financial compliance.
  • Development of strong business analytics that will allow briefing of the site Management teams on results and risks/opportunities.
  • Assist in the creation and achievement of the approved budget of the Plant.
  • Support a service oriented and business partner approach within the financial organisation.
  • Ensure that customer receivables are collected according to set targets. Assign collection activity as required, monitor follow-ups, quantify reasons for slow payment, resolve issues as they arise, and prepare timely reports as required.
  • Monthly Management Account Preparation, Inventory and Assets: Manage systems for current, accurate and complete accounting and reporting of revenues, overhead, inventory, controls and policies.
  • Be fully involved in the forecasting process including analyzing trends and patterns, determining the impact and making recommendations for the Site. Assist in the creation and achievement of the approved budget of the Site.
  • Model the Corporate Values and Principles.

Key Requirements:
  • The successful candidate must be fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA with a minimum of 5+ years experience at a Manager level.
  • Exceptional financial, analytical, commercial and strategic capabilities with proven experience in managing a finance function with a business (Manufacturing Industry experience desirable)
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to manage, motivate and drive a team of finance professionals, influencing and securing buy in.
  • An ability to work cross functionally across a business, dealing with stakeholders and participating and adding value to the Leadership Team within a business.
  • An ambitious, driven agile individual who is keen for career development within a very dynamic organisation
