Title: Middle Office Operations – Stockbroking Firm

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of our clients trading and financial data, working with teams throughout the firm as well as external vendors to fix and resolve issues as they occur
  • Maintain and operate an exhaustive list of control processes with the aim of identifying transactions which could give rise to financial risk or problems for our clients
  • Monitor of our clients cash and equity holdings with multiple agent banks throughout Europe, ensuring they are correct and held where they need to be
  • Keep a close eye on our FX trading, stock borrowing, corporate action movements and FTT/tax collection/payment processes
  • Maintenance of an extensive suite of control reporting 

Experience Required:

  • Educated to Bachelor’s degree level
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in an operational role in the sphere of reconciliations, corporate actions or cash management
  • Experience in using reconciliation systems and/or strong experience in MS Office applications especially Excel and Access
  • Experience of or a demonstrated ability in – and enthusiasm for – numerical investigations
  • An organised and diligent mindset, able to deliver consistent, clean and comprehensive work on a daily basis and to spot and fix any issues prior to delivery
  • A curious mindset and ability to learn and understand new processes quickly
  • Proven ability to work to a deadline and manage time effectively
