Workforce Planning Manager
Our Client, a well renowned Financial Services Organisation operating within the Irish Retail Banking Market are embarking on a period of unprecedented transformational change and are looking to attract a Workforce Planning Manager for their operation on a fixed term 2-year contract initially.
At the heart of this transformation is the Group Technology Function which supports the technical delivery of the strategy and day to day customer service obligations. This is a new role reporting to the Head of IT Demand Management and partnering with Group Technology Leadership in developing and implementing the strategic workforce plan, identifying the IT skills and capabilities required to support the future roadmap and developing and implementing strategies to achieve same.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Companys IT Career Path liaising with managers across the IT function to support skills evaluations and development plans.
- Co-ordinate and manage a central roadmap of IT talent, trends and skills requirements based on future business needs.
- Lead the collection and reporting of relevant MI to assess the ongoing success and effectiveness of workforce planning and resource management across the function.
- Developing and managing IT resource capability-related initiatives and projects, such as process improvement, organisational design, technology innovation, and talent management.
- Manage, promote, and evolve the IT Career Framework supporting the design of new roles and skills, leveraging the BCS SFIA framework.
- Identify new learning opportunities/training required to support the team.
- Co-ordinate Group Technologies Graduate Development Program through collaboration with IT Teams, HR and 3rd level institutions
- Develop and co-ordinate induction of new joiners.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- The successful candidate will ideally have 5+ years experience in a workforce planning role supporting an IT function within a Financial Services Regulated environment.
- Workforce planning skills, including sizing, and shaping, developing actionable insights from workforce data, management of workforce related projects/programs through the whole project lifecycle.
- Experience of BCS SFIA skills platform hugely desirable
- Experience of organisation design, change and talent management.
- Strong facilitation, co-ordination, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent data gathering, analysis and presentation skills (advanced level Excel / PowerPoint)
- Good understanding of roles and skills required to support a Digital technology function.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator with a high level of resilience and problem-solving capabilities.
