Company Overview: Our client, a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, is seeking a talented and experienced Data Centre Business Development Manager. Position Overview: The Data Centre Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the data centre business in Ireland. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the data centre industry, strong business acumen, and a proven track record in business development. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive the growth of the data centre business in Ireland.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, technical, and product teams, to develop tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with prospective clients, ensuring alignment with company objectives and profitability goals.
  • Monitor and report on business development activities, including pipeline management, sales forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the data centre business and expand the company's presence in the market.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure the company's competitive positioning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the data centre industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the data centre market, including infrastructure, colocation, cloud services, and managed services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives, decision-makers, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet business objectives.
