Specification Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management & Site Leadership: Take charge of overseeing 20-35 key sites within a specified geographical region, focusing on Premier+ accounts. Develop and execute strategic plans tailored to each site, ensuring the effective delivery of sustainable solutions that align with the client's goals.

  • Pipeline Development & Management: Lead the creation, development, and continuous expansion of a comprehensive full-width-of-wallet pipeline. Identify opportunities to maximize value across the entire spectrum of products and services offered, aiming to enhance client engagement and drive business growth.

  • Specification Quality Enhancement: Strengthen and refine the quality of project specifications, ensuring that they meet or exceed industry standards. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to improve the precision and clarity of specifications, resulting in a higher hit rate and more successful project outcomes.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for our products and solutions, providing in-depth knowledge and guidance to both internal teams and external clients. Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements to ensure that our solutions remain cutting-edge and competitive.

  • Technical Support: Offer robust technical support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to our products and solutions. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide customized solutions that meet their specific requirements.

  • CPD Presentations: Design, develop, and deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) presentations to clients and stakeholders. Educate and inform them about the latest developments in sustainability, energy management, and our product offerings, reinforcing our position as a leader in the field.

  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management: Dedicate approximately 40% of your time to direct customer engagement, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring that client needs are met and that they are fully satisfied with the services provided.

Education & Experience:

  • Electrical Engineering Qualifications: Hold relevant qualifications or experience in electrical engineering, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices in this field.

  • Salesforce CRM Proficiency: Experience with Salesforce CRM is highly desirable, with the ability to leverage this tool for account management, pipeline development, and customer relationship management.

  • Power Systems & Energy Management: Experience working with power systems or energy management software is a plus, providing additional expertise in the development and implementation of sustainable solutions.

  • Travel Requirements: This role involves significant travel, with an expectation of approximately 40% customer-facing time. Flexibility and willingness to travel within the assigned geographical region are essential.
