We are currently looking for an HR Generalist on a temporary, full-time basis to join our public sector client in D2. The role is a contract for 11 months and will be hybrid. Working hours are 35 hours per week.

 

The individual will assist in the management and operation of pension schemes and related benefits and provide a robust, progressive support service in the area of pensions and related matters. The person will also be needed to provide support to the implementation of the new HRIS and related activities and to provide support to the HR team in relation to EDI and policy management activities.

 

Pension Administration

  • Review and progress actions related to Professional Added Years (PAY) applications that have been received and to forecast potential PAY requirements.
  • Review and collate all potential PAY information in order to determine risks, potential requests and allow the company to progress with assessments with an accelerated turn-around time.
  • Manage PAY assessments through PAPS
  • Review retirement protocol guidelines to incorporate PAY rules and guidelines.
  • Manage calculation of pensioner salary adjustment in line with new pay deal increases
  • Review, collate and upload Single Scheme Reports in to DPER Single Scheme database.

 

HR and Integrated Payroll system support

It is expected that this individual will be required carry-out the following activities:

  • Assist the Human Resources Team and Finance Team in updating and developing the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect the new processes and working arrangements resulting from the introduction of the new HR and Integrated Payroll System.
  • Review / Build Pension information in new system.
  • Build historical salary information.

 

EDI Framework and Policy Management

  • The individual will support an HR Generalist who has primary responsibility for the EDI initiative, this will include data collection, policy review, assessment against the maturity model and review and any other administrative activities in order to progress assessment and approval of a suitable EDI certification through the Irish Centre for Diversity.
  • The individual will also support the review and updating of relevant HR related policies and procedures.
